A new environmental guide for retailers from the United Nations Environment Programme

The United Nations Environment Programme – has published an environmental toolkit for retailers. The toolkit, which is entitled ‘Greening Shops and Saving Costs – A Practical Guide for Retailers’, consists of a guide book and CD-Rom giving practical advice on environmental initiatives.


Areas covered within the guidebook include:


Linking production and consumption

Environmental Impacts of retail operations

Implementing Environmental Management Systems in retail outlets

Establishing a Green Supply Chain programmes

Communicating sustainability campaigns

Green advertising
